Get Fundraising and Get Filming!
While you're busy fundraising why not enter The Get on TV3 competition! Film your escapades, post them to us and we will feature the best clips on TV3 during the live broadcast.
We'll show...
- The Top 10 clips from companies
- The Top 10 clips from schools
- The top 10 clips from community groups
- The top 10 clips from individuals
- To be eligible for the competition you must register your activity using the official fundraising form
- Funds must be paid to The Big Night In bank account before the 31st of July.
- Any clip containing offensive material will be disqualified from the competition.
Video formatting requirements for The Get On TV3 Competition.
Here are some basic filming guidelines from our friends at TV3. Stick to these and your clip has a good change of being shown during the live broadcast.
- Make sure you get quite a few wide shots — everybody included — i.e. show the size of your event.
- Then make sure you film as many individuals/groups as possible doing whatever they are doing to fundraise.
- Possibly film and record a couple of sound-bites. These are short sentences from a key person that explain what you are doing. Make sure the sentences are short; 10–15 seconds no more, and make sure we can hear them clearly.
- Make sure you keep your shots steady — USE A TRIPOD — DON'T USE YOUR ZOOM.
You can film on Mini DV tape — DVD (you must finalise the disc) — or HDV Card/Disk & then transfer the footage to DVD. These are the standard formats that you need to be working with. Your footage should be a maximum of 5 minutes long in total.
